How 2 threads with similir contents can be merged, as i didnt find any option to merge a thread, i have installed MYBB 1.6. is there a plugin? kindly guide

Look at the screenshot I have provided. Under the thread it should say, "Moderation Options" Click the box beside it and you should see, "Merge Threads" Yes, this is on 1.6.
As above, this is already possible from showthread.
If you want a merge threads option on forumdisplay you'll need to create a custom moderator tool.
ACP >> Configuration >> Moderator Tools >> Add New Thread Tool
