I have some text showing up that I can't get rid of. It's not in my header template, or my index template, or even index.php for that matter, any ideas?

It looks like it's the breadcrumb for your forum.

Meh, how can I remove this?

Find and delete <navivigation> in your header template.

Forums without a breadcrumb are annoying though, I wouldn't advise removing it.

No I agree, but just for the index page, actually I dug deeper and found a threat which solves this
