Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I've searched for quite a while to no avail. How do I disable signatures for everyone on my board?
Make a 0 character limit. That'll solved the problem.
Or you could just disallow every usergroup from having a signature.
I tried setting the character limit to zero but it didn't work. At any rate I'd still prefer to just disable them altogether if possible - I checked through the group permissions etc but I can't find anything relating to disabling signatures? I'm using 1.6.
There isn't a group setting.

You could just remove anything related to signatures from the templates.

Whoa. There really should be. Some people don't want signatures on their board. This really should be a permission.

hehe, I was hoping you wouldn't say that! No worries, I've bludgeoned so many templates at this stage I suppose a few more won't hurt Smile

Cohen said the right solution for not allowing signatures. http://community.mybb.com/thread-78914-p...#pid577601

To remove existing signatures, run an SQL query to clear the signature column

People couldn't use a signature thereafter Wink

Unfortunately, users will still be able to see the signature panel, correct? So the templates would all have to be edited out?
I just came across this - http://mods.mybb.com/view/add-forum-options

Going to have a look at it and see if it does as advertised!

I guess while I'm here - has anyone ever come across/used a 'featured post'? The idea being the a mod/admin can flag a specific post that will appear on the front page of the forum. I've seen plugins that list recent topics on the index but it's more the message body I'm after!
