I created a section in my forum called contests. I want this section to be only accessible by people who reached 40 Gold. So I changed the global.php file, and automatically a user who reaches 40 Gold will be a member of this usergroup. The dilemma is when I choose the permission of the forum, if I specify that this section is only for those elligible for the contests i.e. I check all for the "contest" usergroups, but I remove all for other usergroups, a registered user who is also a member of the "Contests" usergroup is not allowed to enter this section. How to solve it?

Umm , that's because of the additional usergroup!

remeber when we made the file, you wanted to add them to an additional usergroup and not chaning their primary usergroup. so i guess because the primary group is not allowed , the secondary can't overide this permission!
