I can for the love of god not get this to work how many times I've tried.

Hopefully, I can get some help here.

Often plugins that add new features comes with a set of templates that goes into the "Global Template"-set. What I want to do is to make my own templates that the plugin should use instead. But there's a risk in placing your custom templates in the "Global Template"-set, as these often get overwritten when updating the plugin.

To be even more specific. I'm using the profile comment plugin, and it adds a template called "profile_comments" in the "Global Templates"-set. If I made my own "profile_comments" template in my theme's "X Templates"-set I've heard that the plugin should use the theme-specific template instead, but this seems not be the case.

Could someone give me a step-by-step guide on how to get it to use the theme-specific template instead? That would be great!
