I have a friend who has a forumotion forum, is there any way to convert that forum to mybb?

i don't think so unless you can get a backup of the data base from them

No there is a way to convert, forumasion was on forumotion and now they are on MyBB.

You can't convert forumotion sites to MyBB without a python script and I believe they are illegal.

from what i have read, they do not give the database even if you pay.

You will have to start your forum from scratch or continue at forumotion.

Or you can upload a crawler and get all the data on your forum and upload to your mybb Forum.

I had to do this sometime back and it can be done but you won't get everything, stuff like attachments, user's passwords and forum settings etc will be lost.

The way I did it was forumotion to phpbb and then from phpbb to mybb, if you search on phpbb forums, they have a script that you can use to crawl and get data from forumotion. I am trying to find the one I used, if I find it I'll post it here.
