my forum is displaying this Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/nggospel/public_html/index.php(337) : eval()'d code on line 9

it came when i was still using 1.4.9 and i read some threads so they were telling me to upgrade to 1.6 so this error will be solved but it i have just upgraded but it still showing the same error so please i need your help .

Are you getting this on the default theme too?

Upgrading wouldn't fix this, you've got an error in your index template, revert it to default.
