Is that a plugin? I don't think its a default feature of mybb. If so can you post a link to the pugin?

this is what i found in the reviews:

This plugin works as it should for me. To modify the text you just open the php file that you uploaded to your inc/plugins folder and scroll down to the section titled function welcomeguest_lang() and look for the line that reads $l['welcomeguest_message']='Welcome to our community!

You can change it to read whatever you like. Hope this helps.
