So friends,
I have tested the merge with phpbb3 and also tested some plugins... done some edits... got support from here ... phewwwww

now its time to go for final shift.... I just want to ask should i install it in SUBDOMAIN like forum.xxxx.com or simply a directory like xxx.com/forum ....
which will be better specially from SEO point of view ?

Any idea or suggestion?

From an SEO point of view I don't think it makes much difference, but from a visual point of view forum.xxxxx.com is better

I like the idea of forums.yoursite.tld over the folder.

I think a Sub Domain, It looks better, Although sometimes (on my browser i use Omni Bar) Its easier to access /forums.

It makes a huge difference sub-domains are considered separate sites. However I do think it looks a lot better.

SEO wise subdomain, or index. If you plan on having a site, subdomain.

Subdomain or the root of the domain.
