my function.php file is missing, from where can i get it? as some editing is required in that file regarding a mod, but i have deleted that file some time ago accidently, can some one tell me where i can have this file?
From a fresh download of MyBB 1.6??
The only plugin I know that needs edits to functions.php is Google SEO, there's the modified version for 1.6 attached to the first post of the release thread -

If you want a fresh copy of the original functions.php then download the MyBB package again.

Yes AJS that SEO plugin has modified my function.php, can i edit that?
and should it contain the function.php all things?
I'm not really sure what you're asking.
If you're using the Google SEO plugin, you need to download the attachment from the thread I linked to, rename the file to functions.php and upload it to the inc folder on your server, overwriting the existing file.

actually i haven't renamed that file "functions.1.6-googleseo.php" to "functions.php"
