Hey,

I have uploaded the Upload folder to my site but when I go to mysite.com/install I do not see the mybb page. What I think is the problem is that I did not upload the files to the public_html folder but the reason for that is that I could not find it in filezilla. If anybody can help please do.

Where did you install it then? It should be in public_html.

also try yoursite.com/upload/install in case you didnt take it out of the upload folder.

Thank You I have gotten one step closer.... when entering Database Server Hostname into the Database Configuration page how does one know what their Database Server Hostname is it doesnt seem to be mysite.com. I am using cpanel if that helps.

hostname is usually always localhost.

And if it isn't localhost then you'll need to ask your host, it's not something we know.

Also, if you haven't already, it's recommended to move your files out of the Upload folder. You're supposed to upload the contents of it, not the folder itself.
