The image file seems to be corrupt. Could he try to upload another avatar?

Can you please download the file avatar_89.jpg via FTP? Can you open it on your local computer?

I downloaded it, but when I try to open it a get a message like "no example available".

Then there's a problem with the image file, it's not a MyBB error.

What can I do about it?

All images, from every member on my forum have that problem.

Okay, going to need a bit more information if you don't mind:

Board Settings:
Avatar Upload Path
GZIP Page Compression (Enabled/Disabled)

Can you also upload a copy of the attached phpinfo.php file and provide me with a URL to it.

Also - does this happen when users post attachments or attach images to posts?

No problemo:

Avatar upload path: ./uploads/avatars

GZIP Page Compression: enabled!

This also happens when users post attachments AND images.

Can you try disabling Gzip page compression and let me know if it still happens when you upload a new file?
