I am using CPanel to manage my web site, it has MySQL....and I am very clear on the app installation instructions....I just can't marry the two together.

There is some basic concept I am missing. What do I have to do to prep my server to recieve the php app?

I know my server can handle the php as it has a canned BB program that started right up.

Create a database within your cpanel control panel. Assign a user to that database.

Take the database name, and username/password to MyBB and place them in the required fields.

Its been a long time since I have used cpanel, and if I manage to get access to a copy I will make a bit of a walkthru for you..

Well thank you for telling me I was not missing the big picture. Your assurance led me to re-check my configuration. Installation seems to have gone well since I determined my directory was not "visible".
