I have just recently installed MyBB 1.6, and everything seems to be running fine, except for 2 things.

1. I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to install software, and I did not choose the proper URL/domain name, because I used that same one the guy in the video put in on his. How do I change the domain name?

2. This might be based off of my first problem, but I give people the link to my forum, and no one is able to load the page. Here is the link to my forum:
http://localhost/mybb/index.php
Localhost is just a replacement for 127.0.0.1 and just points to your own machine. You need to give your IP adress which i do not recommend cause we will all see it

Change the board URL and those other settings in inc/settings.php, then login to the ACP and change the settings there as well.

With the connection issue, read the post above.
If it's on your localhost only you're going to be able to access it, that's what a localhost is, it's local.
Okay, thanks for the advice. A few more questions:

1. So to use my forum, do I have to create a domain first?
2. If I do have to create a domain, how do I merge the forum with the domain?
3. Are there any sites where I can make and own a domain for free?

Sorry for the noobish questions, I am relatively new at this.
You don't 'make' a domain, you just register one. You'll need a host too. There are various free domains and hosts if you have a look on Google, and there's a list of hosts here: http://community.mybb.com/thread-30827.html
Get a webhost.
Okay. Thanks for the help.
