Would be a good way to help cover costs. Now before anyone says the whole "Its taken care of" speech, making MyBB self running would likely be ideal i'm sure for everyone.

Now MySupport could be edited to move them into a specific group, and if they are willing to pay whatever the fee you think is a good fee, for the bend in the ethics policy.
Umm, no. I don't have an issue with payed support but I don't think it should be to get around ethics policies.

I agree. If paid support ever does become an option here the basis has to be marketability and demand. Not to milk those whose sites are not within the support guidelines of MyBB.

Personally I'd like to see a paid private support option and I think MyBB is stepping closer to having the market to do it.
This would be totally inappropriate. We don't deny people support just to be difficult or because we can, we do it for ethical reasons. Making an exception to this for money would be hypocritical and we would essentially be indirectly profiting from piracy, pornography and hacking which is certainly something MyBB would never stand for.
Paid support for people who want to remove the copyright is one thing, paying for support for forums we usually deny support for is wrong. If we deny them support for ethical reasons in the first place, how is then accepting money to support them any more ethical??
