Hi sir
It is my request to Mybb Community Management
that please install a shoutbox or chatroom in the community,

We will certainly not be adding a chatbox here.

We have the IRC for general chat.

Why? It completely defeats the purpose of having a forum. Every shout that is made could be a post, which means that the community would be losing posts.

Loads of users will be asking for help in the shoutbox, it will take up more space on the page, slow the board down, and will need 24/7 moderation to prevent abuse and spam.

To be honest it's really not worth the trouble, when you can just post on the forum. That's what it is there for.

This is a support forum...not a general chat forum.
I can only imagine the spam that will go on if this was installed.

Just to wrap this up:

• Not the sort of thing to be added to a forum such as this
  
• People would ask for support on it and then complain when none was given
  
• Is not something we would be able to moderate unless it was monitored 24/7/365. The spam and chat would be ridiculous and would be really out of place on a forum like this
  
• This is a forum, not an IM client
  

Thanks for the suggestion, but not something we'll be adding.
