Hello, I am using joomla as my cms software and mybb as forum software. Now, I want to know how can I do these 2 things.....

1. I want to show latest forum topics and latest forum posts in my mybb forum index page at the right side of forum main page while forum categories and all other info at the left side.

2. Secondly, I will be having a news and announcement category on my forum, but, I want to know how can I display only the titles of the topics created in that particular forum category to my joomla site. So, that I don't have to create threads 2 times, once in joomla and second time in mybb. Also, how can I display the title and the name of the author of latest forum posts on my joomla site as a link to the forum posts respectively.

I think you'll just have to add the box from the portal template into the index template.
That should do the trick.
