I think inserting the page number in the title of multiple paged threads would be good for seo.

It would also reduce the number of duplicate titles in google websmater too.

Just my opinion

I think this can be done with a quick template edit, so it dhouldnt be a difficult change.

it can be done easily .

just wanting it to become default if it is good for seo
