Hi,

just spotted a problem - when a destination username contains special characters (in my case letter Ž), the user merge system tells me:

Quote:The destination account username you entered does not exist

I know it exists and MyBB knows it too - it suggests this username when I start typing.

Is there any other way to merge users on my board?

Just tested it and it works fine for me.

You could rename the user, merge them, then change the username back?

Could be a bug, report it on http://dev.mybb.com

Strange, because I think I remember seeing this in 1.4 too but just now noticed the pattern with this special character thing.

Just did a test with 3 accounts - testerA, testerB and testerŽ.
A and B did merge fine, Ž did not merge in any combination (as source or destination account).

Renaming a user sounds like a decent workaround though. Thanks

Yeah, tested this on opensourcecms.com demo site just now. Works there.

Just found out that searching for this user (with Ž) also gives error message:

Quote:No users were found matching the specified search criteria. Please modify your search criteria and try again.
