I'd like to block people on my board from quoting videos posted in a thread. When a poster embeds a video in a thread, ppl often quote him in order to reply, and it clutters the thread with copies of that embedded video. Is there a way to quote an embedded video post, but instead of showing the actual video in the post, show the video's link or a custom tag like [video]?

You'd need a plugin or core edits to do that.

You'll need to do some core edits or make a plugin. As I don't know what you'd have to do to prevent video quoting, you'll need to ask someone to make you a plugin.
