Is this possible, and if so, how?

Very old though, it may not be compatible with 1.6. Try anyway though.
Open the file inside inc/plugins/, change compatibility from 1.2* to *

I have been working on a plugin for this and I'd say I'm about 80% done with it. I can't give you an eta but I'm trying my best to get it out soon.
