ok so im new to mybb and i was wondering how do i change the banner at the top and add a navigation bar like you guys have here with the home about features and so on ?

To put your own logo in the easiest way would be to make a Gif image and replace the "logo.gif" file in the "images" folder.

Regarding the navigation and more customized options related to themes I would recommend learning html/css.

ok thanks alot, will there be a certain thing to search for on the site to find out how to add navigation panel?

I would say mainly unordered lists(commonly used for navigations now but not really needed for them) and anchor tags with the href attribute. Then styling should be done with CSS which is pretty simple.
