Are you sure you're changing the right thing?? It used directly what's in the 'totalpms' column for the total number of PMs.

Try setting totalpms and unreadpms to -1, that's supposed to force a recount.
Yea, I'm in the mybb_users, I changed the folder name Inbox to inbo to confirm it was the right database.

I changed totalpms and unreadpms to -1 and clicked go, it saved it but when I hit refresh back at the forum it switches back to 22 in phpmyadmin.

Do I need to select anything under function when I change the count?

Is there a place that the PMs are stored that I can confirm it is empty on the server?

Alright apparently there are PM's in the mybb_privatemessages, I just found and deleted one of mine and now I show 21.

Can I just hit empty and dump all the pms and than do a recount?
So let me just get this straight, when you go to each different PM folder in the User CP menu itself individually, no messages show, but they're still in the database??

Yes sir.

Notice that I changed Inbox to Inbo and that I removed one of the PM's in the database so now I have 21, this confirms that in my sleep deprived state I am in the correct database this time.....Big Grin

No not there, actually going through the folders in the menu on the elft like I said. Do any show in there??
Nope, nothing in any of the 4 folders, actually that is where I first checked it wasn't until later I discovered the empty folders option.
Well I emptied the database and did a recount and now all the left overs from the VB convert are gone, not sure what went wrong with the convert, I'm assuming it was something I did, but it seems to be working now.
