My results seem to be very awkward.How do i make the search results more precise ?
Define 'awkward'... are you using standard or full text search??
Use google custom search.
Will that not only show stuff that's indexed in Google, which won't be any better as more recent stuff won't come up?? Plus you can't search in specific forums or use any of the other filtering with that.
Google custom search is not perfect too. Of-course it has some disadvantage.
However, i prefer it because:-
1. People like to use google. They know better how to use it.
2. Whats the point in having the latest threads in search results as the threads would be on the first page of the forums. Moreover, if you have quality contents, indexing is almost instantaneous.
Anyways, it always good to have both search options offered to users.
Yah,What i meant was relevancy !!
please see my above linked thread for more info on relevancy and how its not possible to make full use of it with mybb without core file edits (or almost completely copying and modifying the search code into a plugin)
