Lets say someone buys something you excel in making. Are you offended? Do you care?

Curious, because someone did that to me today, and was like "Well i didn't' want it to be awkward"
What?

LMAO That's just got to be the most stupidest question ever. You don't see major corporations crying because of competitor gains. They may have plans to solve such an issue but still.

I personally wouldn't be offended. Obviously the other person in question must of provided the good at better value or better quality.
Im confused, like if you have a video game shop then some one bought a video game from a different shop and gave it to you?

I might be a little...
Actually, it depends on what is your relationship with that person...If he is your best friend well, for sure whether you would want to understand him, you cannot deny the fact that you will feel disappointed. But if he is not a friend well, you don't have the right to question that person...anyway, we have a freedom to choose.
No not really. I mean as long as they let you know before you start doing stuff for them Toungue.
I read it again...

Do you mean like if you are an expert watch maker and some one buys you a watch?

Then hell ya I'd be pissed. Unless of course that person didn't know.
Competition is the heart of capitalism. Heck, it's the heart of socialism, communism, and every form of economics. It's why we have anti-trust laws (for those in the States, see the Sherman Act). Everyone is in the business of taking in money. What makes you better than the other guy is what makes them come to you. Usually it's lower prices (since most of us don't make millions every year). Sometimes it's better products.
Competition is not the heart of communism at all.
Quote:Communism is a sociopolitical movement that aims for a classless society structured upon communal ownership of the means of production and the end of wage labour and private property.

My point still stands, gosh darn it! Though, just because the means of production are owned by the public it doesn't mean that people will not choose Comrade Alyssa's milkshakes to Comrade Kelsey's. Comrade Kelsey, feeling inferior to Comrade Alyssa, and wanting her milkshakes to bring all the boys to the yard, will try to make a milkshake better than Comrade Alyssa's.

Sure, not competition as we know it, but she still gets something in return for trying to better Comrade Alyssa.
