Lens flare is horrible no matter where it's used.

I like the text on the second one. The first is meh. And I admit the lens flare might have been a bit over kill
But Im not to awesome with PS I'z just following some tutorials and trying to add my own stuff
Use gradient flare instead, it's so much better.

As far as the lens flare, there is a time and a place for it. It works well on videos. And it looks good on some pictures too. So to say it's never good is wrong, IMO.
The first one reminds me of Ghost Hunters (or something).
The second one would be great if the lens flare were either gone altogether or toned down and behind the text (eclipsed by the right side of the 'p' or something).

The font of the text is terrible. Change that and you're good to go.
