Hi,

I'm converting a mid-sized forum with 100k posts and 40k members. It is not my first conversion, I've used this tool to convert a SMF to MyBB in the past.

However, the merge system is stuck when converting private messages (about 12k of them)

The only message it outputs is:

Quote:MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
2006 - MySQL server has gone away
Query:
SELECT uid, import_uid FROM mybb_users WHERE import_uid>0

The merge tool had demonstrated similar error pages in previous parts of the merging but never got stuck. I'm therefore unable to complete the process or going back.

Thank you for helping, this really matters a lot to me as I've had all I could take with IPB.

This is a problem with your MySQL server/config, not with MyBB Merge System. Either contact your host to help you with this, or perform your merge on another server or on your local computer using a pre-packaged server system such as WAMP, XAMP, XAMPP.
