Hey guys, me and 2 other developers have started a new project. It's written in vb.net and it's has a similar function to the application in Linux that updates and installs software, but it's for windows. It's completely open source too


The progress is coming along nicely but we need all the help we can get

You haven't met my Fedora Core box, have you? It won't update with the Add/Remove programs thing, so I have to yum install everything. That may seem like a pain...well, it is.

We are making our own repositories and server software. This will be freely available too with its own GUI. Updating may be difficult as programs often have built in update features and windows wasn't really designed with programatic interaction with the add/remove programs

Why not just fork win get?

Its outdated (last Repo update was october 2009!) and i have to write it myself in vb.net
