Using "Acoording Mano" theme
the logo.png file I replace with logo1.gif the correct banner. But it shows up as a red cross, no matter what I try to replace or delete, it doesn't help.
If it's doing that then the image you're trying to use doesn't exist. What's your URL??
removed As you notice the logo doesn't show up.
Change the style to Default and on that theme is the banner working

as i understood, you place a logo with gif extension,
so you need to change the logo name.
in template section, inside header find the logo.png and change it with logo.gif

To change your board logo, go here:
ACP >> Templates and Styles >> *Style Name Here* (click it) >> Board Logo
In the textbox provided, give a link to where your logo is located. It can be either a full URL or just images/path/to/logo/here.png
Obviously you don't put images/path/to/logo/here.png : replace this with the actual location.
the problem is I already did that, and still got the problem.
I could upload the file and place the link of the image there, maybe that will work
as i think your image is not a proper gif file because you have this url in your logo behind.

but if you place the above path in browser url it should show the image but its giving me an error
The image “http://www.interviewedyou.com/forums/images/accord-mono/logo1.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
so please be sure you have proper image file
