Well free is free and premium is paid. If you pay for something, it is nearly always better. Free hosts (and some paid hosts, but still) are oversold and usually slow. They can shut down with no notice and you're not paying them anything so you're pretty much stuffed.

Paid hosts can shutdown without notice too, it's just a case of finding a trusted and well known host.
