Not sure if this is the right place or not.
Has development strarted on 2.0 yet, i know there is no set release dates and such but would just like to know.
Other softwares seem to release a version then get back on to the next version.

They're going to keep very under wraps until the base is pretty much set if I remember correctly. Either way it won't be here for another few years.

I wasn't after any perticular information just whether it was been developed i know they only released 1.6 so not really expecting 2.0 yet.

MyBB 2.0 will be a long way off as it will be a complete rewrite, however it is indeed underway and in fact some work started prior to the 1.6 release. You might like to follow the 2.0 wiki page for what details have been made public.
