i have forgotten ( :$ ) what to do at the databasepart of the installation!
i have done it a few times and cant rememebr now.
can anyone please shed some light on what to do here please.

well in the
host: usually local host unless your hosting company specify any.
username: is the authorized user to access the db
password : the pass for that user.
database name: is the name of the database you have created and the one that the above mentioned user can access.
table prefix: is a prefix of your own choise. so table will be have a prefix upon what u enter here (urprefix_users for example )

for database name i typed in "DJKAL" and my password for the pass box, but it didnt work,
for database name i put "2347 atc forums" (also tried: 2347, atc and forums - none worked)
i can remember that it is supposed to be local host so i left that
still it doesnt work though
well we can't help , because you should know the database settings you made:/ maybe you can double check all, or start from 0 with a new db

You should have already created your MySQL database (via phpMyAdmin or cPanel). Check what your database name is, and your user/pass from your webhost, or cPanel, or phpMyAdmin.

Access to your MySQL server (sometimes it's same as your FTP, but most of the time it isn't - check with your webhost, cPanel if you're not sure)
it isn't the same as my ftp (just tried)
i'll have to wait til my host comes online next!
