I watched a bit last year (where they managed to raise $140,449) and it was pretty amusing watching them.
It doesn't start for another 3 hours and they've already raised $6500 and are locked in to playing for 90 hours straight.
Desert Bus: You drive from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada in real time at a maximum speed of 45mph in real time. No scenery, no pausing, nada. The bus slowly strays to the right so you can't just push the forward button. It doesn't have joysticks, so no "gently bump the joystick to the left to stay straight." You sit there, going back and forth between NV and AZ as long as you stay sane.
Child's Play: Created in '03 by the creators of Penny Arcade, it is a charity for bringing toys and games to hospitals for children who could use some happiness. http://www.childsplaycharity.org/ for more info.
Get out there and donate for another 3 day's worth of hours! I wanna watch them play all week!
