Is there a way a user can put something like this

in a post and it will send me a pm saying i've been mentioned in a post or something this way users can get help easier, along thoese lines. I would assume a plugin?

Man I can see this getting annoying really fast. There's a few username tagging plugins out there but none that work like this iirc.

Again its just a rough idea, although I think I know someone who can make one like this and add a few of options.

I think http://community.mybb.com/thread-66551.html is the closest one available.

Seems like it could be interesting, I wonder if there's a way to opt-out of getting PMs though

Include @user and #Search in MyBB core could be a nice point.
