I am merging a forum in MyBB 1.4.x with my own which uses 1.6.x

I merged almost all the things, threads, polls, votes, but I am stuck now on merging the posts.

It somehow freezes and doesn't work...



I don't know why it freezes all the time at the same post.

I've tried merging with 20 posts per page, 1000, 500, 100 all the time it freezes on the same post.

Help, please?

First upgrade the forum that is 1.4x to 1.6x, then merge, it will work.

How do I do that?

Upload a brand new copy of MyBB to another directory.

Say your forum is at www.myforum.com, then create a directory called /upgrade > upload a copy of the MyBB that your 1.4 database is using > create a new database in cPanel > upload your 1.4 database > follow this tutorial.

That will let you upgrade the forum and database to 1.6. Now you can merge it.
