Take a look for yourself, is it just me or this forum looks like its using MyBB code? http://fudforum.org/forum/
I might be wrong though.

They are wholly entitled to. MyBB is released under the GNU LGPL so they can use whatever part of the code they want. LiteBulletin is an example of this, as they are a fork of MyBB.

I doubt that FUDForum have anyway.

What makes you think it's using MyBB code?? Looks totally different to me.

Agreed. To me, it looks like SMF and phpBB had a baby. A really ugly baby....



But as some of the others have said, MyBB is released under the GNU LGPL so they can customize and release it however they want as long as they keep the MyBB code copyright notices intact.

It doesn't look similar to MyBB at all.

Regardless, there is no such thing as MyBB rip-off since the whole point of the current license is to allow forks and external development.

I remember shopping around for bulletin board software about eight years ago and FUD was around then. I may be wrong but I don't believe MyBB is that old.

It's pretty close but I'm not positive if it is.

Either way the main part of the comment stands and that's FUDforum has been around for a long time . I doubt they would just start using mybb source with 3.0 release. Plus it doesn't look a like to me either.

The only thing i could recall is the calender, and that's even pathetic if it was a rip.
