Hi all,
A few days ago, my datacenter sent me new IP addresses for my nameservers, so I had a few days of downtime while things repropigated. My forum worked just fine before the switchover, but something got messed up somewhere along the way - that, or whatever the problem may be coincidentally waited until now to manifest. Either way though, all of my sites are now back online, with the exception of my forum. I wasn't exactly sure what was going on (if it was just something with the IP switch or what), so I upgraded from MyBB 1.4.10 to 1.6 to see if that made any difference whatsoever; turns out it didn't. I still get the same blank page I've had. I tried viewing the page source as recommended in other threads, but that also is blank. I've reuploaded all my files, tried a clean install, nothing seems to work. Please help! Oh, one more thing I should mention: I set up a test account as well (to play with 1.6 before I upgraded my main forum) - the test install works just fine...

One other thing; my server error log consists entirely of "[error] [client IP] File does not exist: /path/to/trainsandplanes.biz/cache/pack" if that means anything UndecidedHuh

http://www.trainsandplanes.biz/ - blank page
http://www.trainsandplanes.biz/TnP/ - 1.6 "test area"

Thanks!

Oh, a few more details I should also mention: Admin panel works, and looking through my actual error log file it says "GET /cache/pack/signer.php?got=1" is the file it's looking for apparently.
Go check how many databases you have now and what the server name is.
1 db, same server name as always, which is correct. Poked into my inc/config.php file and everything matches there as well.

Ok, two URLs to 2 different forums. 1 before the switch and 1 after. But you have one database.

1+1=1
or

0+1=1
/cache/pack/ and /cache/pack/signer.php?got=1 are nothing to do with MyBB at all. I take it you're also expecting to see another forum in the root folder, right...??

1+1=1 - the root folder schema is prefixed mybb_ and the /TnP/ is mybb16_ to keep them separated.

Correct. The root folder has my primary install, whereas the /TnP/ folder was created simply as a 1.6 testbed.
Because the change happened after an action take by your host, I'd ask my host to fix it. I'm not saying not to ask here too. But I think your host should take a look.
I tried that first; all they said was "enable your error log (which already was enabled, but nothing showed up; then I disabled it, reenabled it and that's when I started seeing the cache errors) and check [the site] in 15 minutes" - but I'm fairly certain I got one of the lower tech guys, so maybe I'll email the owner instead.

I was hoping you got the gist of my math.

When they reassigned your IP your first db was no longer connected to your host control panel in databases. Basically it went "POOF".

If that database is still showing on your Cpanel then delete it, create a new one and do a fresh install.
