I'm editing the header so instead of the traditional 'Welcome back, Soandso. You're last...etc.' it's a single dropdown menu made with this tutorial:

There's a Mod CP link in the dropdown menu I made, and when I make the title of it {$modcplink} it just hides the text, but the link is still there, taking up space. My forum is Penpoint.org. To view my dilema, access it and use Penpoint as the theme (quick change available at footer). You'll see an empty block at the bottom of the dropdown menu entitled 'Hello!' that links to the ModCP. How do I hide it completely? Is there a way to hide an object from certain usergroups? Thanks to anyone who can help!
