With my host unfortunately comes limited privileges. I asked my host to change my password for me (which applied to FTP, phpMyAdmin), but now my forum is displaying this error. I can't see what could be causing this. Anyone have any ideas? I'll have to wait until the end of the week for the host to do anything at this rate...

You'll need to change the database password in ./inc/config.php too.

Now I get a blank page. CHMOD for file is 666—do I need to change this?

No, it'll be fine on 666, but you can change it to 644 if you want. Did you only change the password?? If you're getting a blank page after making this edit you probably edited more than you should have done. Rebuild it with this: [wiki]Inc/config.php[/wiki]
