I fixed my netbook! I bought a new DC Jack, a charger, and screws for ~40. Put it all together and whamo.

It was odd, the solder cracked on the DC jack inside, and it just happened to my sister's Toshiba Satellite.

Yep. Same exact thing on my acer aspire and my Roanoke satellite

Lol yeah I had a lot of problems with Acers

The graphics card went in my acer, but only portions of the screen over time

The Screen died on my acer as well. Basically the backlight just got disconnected and I could never get it connected again...Note To Self, never operate on your computer while it's plugged in.

note to lyndon: think common sense before doing ANYTHING

Haha. I thought I had it unplugged. I'm not sure. This was about 3 years ago. I was just trying to fix something and burned some skin on my thumb xD
