I have the latest 1.1.1 version of Mybb and I noticed that it isn't sending emails on signup or if password is forgotten. I'm using an email sever xmailserver which is sendmail compatible and works with other scripts. I'm wondering where the info is on the smtp server or sendmail path.
What do I need to do to get this working
MyBB uses the PHP mail function (
www.php.net/mail). So if that function is allowed by your webhost, then the mail should be sent.
We've posted mail testing scripts numerous times on this forum, and if you search for threads that are similar to yours, you can use those to see if mail is being sent by the server correctly.
I think the problem is that I put in yahoo address instead of a domain email. I'm going to change it and see if it helps.
If you use your Yahoo address more than your domain email, you should forward the domain email to your yahoo account.
this can usually be done from your website admin panel.
