When you view new posts/today's posts it shows all forums. You can, subscribe to desired forums.

uhm, isn't that based on the usergroup permissions?
i'm pretty sure that a regular member can not see new threads in my staff forum that is hidden to them in the new posts or view todays posts

Well yeah, but he doesn't want to remove it from view - just from the 'view new posts' I expect.
I've changed the compatibility to 16*, but when I install & activate it, I am getting errors in ACP.
