Is there any Release-Date for myBB 1.7?

No such version will be released. The next release is 2.0
The next release will actually be 1.6.1 but there will be no new features in this update just bug/security fixes if i'm not mistaken.

Yes i can see that but my replie was aimed at the op and they never mentioned a major release.

Well 1.7 indicates a major release. 1.6.1 would be a minor release. Even after 1.6.9 or 1.6.99 we wont go to 1.7 as that would be a major release increment instead of another minor release increment. The OP is talking about a major release

The next major release would be 2.0 but who knows when it would be out ? Just wait, developers here already developed 1.6 for us three months back, so they don't want to loose there years of work for just bringing 2.0 at the moment.
Aren't we talking like 2-3 years for this at least? Not even worth worrying about right now.

We were, before Ryan left. Now I'm scared about the delay that could cause. Then again, maybe he did nothing any more. I don't know, but I'm still worried.
