It's crawled and stored the printable version of a thread, if you don't want it to do this, you can block access to it with a robots.txt file.

No, don't do that, because then you'll still have links to it on your site but it'll just go to a 404 error.
With a robots.txt, members can still access it if they want to, but search engines can't.
