How the flip can I disable URLs from being posted by specific usergroups? Huh

Also, is there a report post and report PM feature?

Flippin' the flip A, yo.
Report PM: http://www.mybbcentral.com/thread-2888.html

And what do you mean by "flip" ?
Report post is built in, its at the bottom right of every post. [Image: postbit_report.gif]

Not sure about the links though.
I do not think there is a plugin for the "stopping urls by usergroup" but you can suggest one.

The only thing i could find which might prove useful is this. It hides urls from guests but i do not think that was what you were asking for, but like i said, it might help

You could use the bad word filter.

Just put in the things like this:

.net
.com
.org
www
http
http://
https://
etc

It will probably make it show up like this *******.***.domain****
so people would still see the middle part but the link itself would be useless

Yes but that would disable domains all together, he want's it for specific member group.

i just had to lol @ "how the flip" Big Grin sorry.
Why would you want to disable all URLs ...
I think he want's to disable a specific usergroup from posting urls, so therefore people won't join just to post a link. Pretty smart if you ask me, that is if he uses it right.

Yeah but links are like ... really really common on message boards. I can see this pissing a lot of people off very quickly. Admins never seem to learn that hostility towards users is not worth the outcome. Manual moderation is key.
