so, you tried clearing the .htaccess file and it didn't work then?

You can send me details and I'll have a look. There has to be something somewhere telling it to redirect.

Seems to have been because the admin folder was CHMOD to 777, though why it would show the homepage of your site because of that, I don't know, that's quite odd.

Very odd indeed at least I know I did not break anything, Thank you very much for investigating now I can re open it and update the plugins and themes.

was it really the folder's chmod? i was also going to suggest that, but i didn't think a chmod would cause a redirect like that.
