i've disabled G-zip to try to lower the server load.
G-zip should be enabled if you want lower server load, I think.
no, for large forums, gzip can cause high server load.
atleast thats what i was told....

well hopefully we'll be moving to dual opterons soon
squall is right about the gzip, it does give you the pages quicker, but it does give the server an higher server load, since it has to compress it before sending it.
thats what i thought
GZIP increases the server load but decreases the bandwidth.
