Hello,

recently I moved my site to paid hosts yesterday and got a sub domain option,for eg if my site is http://mysite.com the I can add http://forums.mysite.com or http://xyz.mysite.com,so,

My question is how can I set up another page to add a subdomain like
http://forums.mysite.com ,how do it setup such thing? Do i need to add some directory?If yes,then what after that?

Do you have cPanel? If so, you can create a subdomain there called "forums". It should create a directory in /public-html/ called "forums".

Then you can move your forum to the /forums/ directory.

Then you simply need to change the cookie settings:http://community.mybb.com/thread-74904.html

yes I have but no-no I don't want to move my current files/forums,I just want to create something new there,so if i create sub-domain forums.mysite.com I have to install myBB files there again to setup ?

Create sub-domain copy the files into the folder and edit the cookie settings and BBurl?

hmm I don't get buddy,what files should I copy? MY real database files of now or install files? And how can i configure cookie and BBurl? Thanks

Just create the subdomain in cPanel (SUBNAME.yoursite.com). If you want to start a new forum there, upload the mybb install files (downloaded from mybb) to "/public-html/SUBNAME".

If you want to move your old forum to SUBNAME.yoursite.com, then simply copy the files of your current mybb forum to "/public-html/SUBNAME" (then follow the instructions in the link i gave you before)

I am on much good hosts,though paid they are less costly and service is much awesome

x10hosting is the WORST free hosting I've ever used
