I want to set up a forum so only authoer can read his own post (plus admnis and Mods)

I did:
Can view forum? Cheked
Can view threads within forum? Checked
Can only view own threads? Checked

But even if a user make a post, he see no last post title in this forum while in index page !!
he sees only a "-'
What is wrong with my settings?

Remove check from "Can view threads within forum?"

Unfortunately, that deosnot help too much!!
User is still unable to view his post form index page as a "last post"
He still needs to enter forum to viw his own thread
