How can i move the forum directory from / to /forum?

ACP > Configuration > General Configuration > add /forum to the end of your Board URL and change your cookie path to /forum/

Then move your files to the /forum/ folder.

you should not need to change the cookie path to /forum/, especially if you are trying to integrate MyBB with other portions of your site or bridging to other software.
